Who was the first Lieutenant Governor of Assam?
J.B. Fuller

He was a British civil servant who had previously served as the Chief Commissioner of Assam. - Sir Michael Keane (1932-1937)
- Sir Robert Niel Reid (1937-1942)
- Sir Andrew Gourlay Clow (1942-1947)
In 1947, Assam became a state of the Dominion of India, and the position of Lieutenant Governor was abolished. The first Governor of Assam was Sir Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari.
