Who took the Penname Shilvadra in Assamese Literature ?

 The pen name Shilvadra in Assamese literature was taken by Revati Mohan Dutta Choudhury. He was born in Gauripur, Dhubri district, Assam in 1924. He was a well-known Assamese story-teller, novelist, and essayist. He is best known for his short stories, which are characterized by their simple yet powerful language and their insights into the human condition.

Shilvadra began his literary career in the early 1950s. His first collection of short stories, "Bastav", was published in 1975. He went on to publish more than a dozen collections of short stories, as well as several novels and essays. His work has been translated into several languages, including English, Hindi, and Bengali.

Shilvadra was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1993 for his collection of short stories, "Nana Rupa". He was also awarded the Padma Shri in 1992. He died in 2008 at the age of 84.
